PROLOGUE
Just so you know, I'm not a normal person. Once, I saved the world from its inevitable destruction and god seemed to be too pleased about me and he came down personally with his golden chariot followed by a group of archangels and saints to come and get me. He offered me a position in the higher ranks of the angels or to become a saint to be by his side forever because of my courage and devotion to help others and to fulfill his Priestly, Prophetic, and Kingly mission. And do you know what I did? I refused him.
I'm not yet ready to stay in one place for the eternity. This is my greatest weakness, I long for knowledge, adventures, and discoveries. I want to experience different sensations, be it happiness or pain as long as it makes me feel, HUMAN.

"My god, you know what I want." I said smiling at him.
He gave me a sad smile, touched my head and ruffled my hair.
"Hikaru, you knew that it would hurt too much. you would fall in love over and over again and die as well. You will leave the people you love and you can never go back to them again. It's the consequence of what you wish. Do you still want to live one life after the other without forgetting your past memories and leaving your loved one behind?
"Yes." I answered without hesitation.
"Alright then, just come back whenever you get tired." I nod.
"Now close your eyes." I closed my eyes as he put his hand on my shoulder and I felt a swirling sensation and it feels like the force is trying to crumple me like a piece of paper and that mere second I realized that I couldn't breathe at all but before I even start to panic my body hit a solid ground. I groaned in pain and dizziness as I slowly opened my eyes.
"COOL!!"

CHAPTER 1
"Cool!!"
When I said those words, I noticed that something is uncool. my voice.
My voice cracked up like a little boy undergoing the stage of puberty.
I looked around me and smiled.
"good god, you really love me huh?"
I'm in a castle in what would passed to be a medieval era, the servants roaming around and the guard would match exactly as what you've envisioned when you read a good classic book. And I realized that I'm in a court and what made me realized it are those ladies and gentlemen exchanging sweet poetry and flattery to each other. They all wore fancy clothing that you would see in a cinderella play in your school festivals. I looked at myself and saw a fine piece of clothing made from silk with gold thread around it. just the typical prince charming huh. I passed a group of ladies and they stood and greeted me with low bows. I smiled at them and strode to what looks like a mirror. It feels great to be a character of little kids fairy tale and it seems like I'm their prince charming for today....but those girls looked extremely tall for me.
"No!!"
I ran faster towards the mirror, when I looked at it I saw a young teen of 15 age with his mischievous smile showing his mismatched teeth.'ah this is really me when I was young.' I thought to myself, then I saw a beautiful figure behind me and I ran toward her.
"mama!" I jumped into her arms and landed softly on her multiple layers of petticoats. I missed my mom so much.
"dear, don't run in the hallways and call me Queen-mama!" she smiled gently and ruffled my hair.
"Come, it's time to meet him!" she told me excitedly.
"Who?" I asked.
"Ah such a poor memory for a young age, how come you've forgotten you're meeting with your betrothed?"
'betrothed. I know that it is normal for the royalty to marry at such young age and I grew excited at the thought of it. we went to the great hall and everyone stopped whatever they were doing and stood up and bowed low to my Queen-mama and me. I saw some courtiers playing games in the corner and ladies-in-waiting sewing shirts for the homeless. We passed them and made our way to the private chambers, when the door of the chamber opened I saw my King-papa with two elder and in between them, the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. As if my body knew what my mind doesn't I bowed to the two elders and made my way beside my parents.
"My young Prince, I'd like you to meet your betrothed, the eldest son of the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk, Kota."
And all the conversations blurred when little kota smiled at me.
Later, I learned that Kota will be staying at the palace and will continue studying with me.

One afternoon, I was sitting in the garden with a book beside me. I was letting some sun rays into my pores and I was admiring the flowers around the castle when I saw Kota excitedly made his way to me.
"Ka-chan!" I smiled at him and asked him to come sit beside me.
"Hi, Ko-chan" I greeted him with a smile showing my crooked teeth.
We sat side by side contentedly admiring our surrounding when he suddenly asked a question.
"Ne, Ka-chan, is it really okay for you to marry me or is it just because you have no other choice?" His eyes cast downwards.
Kota has been in the castle for 10 months now and I've never been happier in my life since he came. I was completely at peace with him by my side. We enjoyed doing a lot of things together. at first I thought it was because of my childish nature from this little body of mine. but then my mind was never really affected by the transformation and later I learned the real reason why I always crack up with every little thing that he do. It was, as I've figured out, LOVE . it was neither my mentality nor my friendship with him that made me feel complete like this by just having him by my side. it was LOVE afterall.
Kota nudged me expecting an answer from me. I asked him to lay his head on my lap as I caress his hair.
"Ko-chan you know that I'm really happy when I'm with you right? and do you know why?"
"Why?" He sat expecting an answer.
"Because I love you." his eyes brighten and his cheeks flared up. He stuttered for a response and said.
"I- I'm happy to hear that and I- I feel the same way too." He looked at me cheeks still burning by the sudden confession. We talked some more and then he told me that he is needed at his room for his greek lessons. He stood up and left. I looked up to watch the clouds go by when a shadow from the second floor of the castle caught my attention. It was Inoo with a flower pot in his hands. What happened next came with a blur. I rushed to where Kota is and pulled him under me, I heard a 'thud' and looked at him.
"Ko-chan are you alright?" I asked smiling at him.
"Ka-chan what's that, you scared me!" He looked at me innocently.
"Butare you okay?" I asked him again as I kissed his forehead I felt him nod. I lost my balance and fell to the ground. evrything seems blurred to me now except Kota, I can hear him shouting for help and he reached for my hand with his own trembling ones. I know that this is the consequence god is talking about. Kota kissed my hands and I used my remaining strength to pull him near me.
"Don't worry, we'll meet again in our next life Ko-chan, it's just that you wouldn't remember me. But I'd be there for you either way. I'll always love you, Ko-chan."

CHAPTER 2
It didn't matter to me if the swirling sensation makes me feel sick or the unceremoniously meeting of my body and the ground makes my body shout with pain, for the pain of the unexpected separation with Ko-chan is more painful than this petty body pains.
I opened my eyes and saw an old man with a pair of sunglasses looking at my direction. I stood up and made my way to him. He is sitting on one of the many benches in what looks like a park. I sat beside me and he wrapped his arms around my shoulder.
"I understood now what you meant about the consequence that you warned me about, and the moment I landed here, I fervently wished to be back with Ko-chan again but you wouldn't hear my prayer."
"I heard your prayer that's why I'm here and I can do nothing about the consequence for that is the nature of life. For every decision, there is a consequence. Now do you want to go back to our home?"
I looked at him for a moment and smiled.
"no, not yet. I promised Ko-chan that I'll look for him again."
"You're really stubborn aren't you? But that makes you the Hikaru that saved the world once and makes you my favorite - -"
The almighty god was interrupted by an angry angel.
"God! I thought I'm your favorite?! I too once saved the world you know!" Yuto pouted cutely and god laughs and rushes to his side.
"And that makes you both my favorite! And you have Keito as a wonderful gift from mine aren't I? Now, Hikaru we'll go back and since I love you, I'll make your search easier from now on, just remember that the end of every story will be the same."
I waved goodbye and made my way to the nearby lake to look at my appearance. I wouldn't want to be a kid again! 'oh, those mismatched teeth.' I smiled at the thought. I bend down and saw an average looking teenage guy around 17. Now scratch the word average because the reflection in front of me is--
"KAKOI~!!"
"Now Karu, it isn't the time for your narcisstic statements."
A voice behind me caused me to turn around abruptly making my head spin around but I don't care as long as this guy would stay with me forever. He's more handsome now and has the same height as mine. Memories flooded my mind and I hugged him tight making his body stiffen for a while but he relaxed and wrapped his arms around me.
"Karu, daijoubu?" He asked concern evident on his voice.
"Hai, I just got dizzy for a while, it’s so hot! Ko-chan let's eat some ice cream!"
"Isn't it why we're here for? Let's go!"
We went to the nearby ice cream parlor across the park. We bought one vanilla ice cream for him and one chocomint for me. We sat in one of the many benches scattered around the park.
"Ne, Ko-chan, would you believe me if I tell you that I remember what happened to my last life?" I asked him.
"hmm, it depends, tell me the story and I'll tell you after if I believe you or not."
"eh, ok...I'm a prince of a country and all the girls loves me. They were drooling whenever they saw me and I am the most handsome prince ever lived on that land. Everything I say would be granted with my enormous followers, my life stayed like that until one day."
"eh, what a narcisstic prince you are." he laughed looking back at the clouds above us.
"The Queen, my mother told me that she will introduce my fiancé to me. And that point I met the most beautiful man I'd ever saw. And that Ko-chan was you. Ever since the news of my fiancé arriving, my followers dispersed and I was more than happy to see them go. We had so much fun together and we love each other until one fateful day. We were outside, in the garden. You were about to return to the palace when I saw a shadow above you throw a flower pot. I ran as fast as I could and pulled you under my arms. I was really happy that you're safe but that doesn't go the same way for me. I slumped off the ground and you were beside me crying and begging me not to go and I promised you that I'll always love you and that I'll look for you in our next life. You smiled at me as you mumble your goodbye." I finished my story at looked back at him. He is still looking at the clouds with a content smile.
"Now do you believe me?" I asked grinning like a fool.
"hmm, we're lovers eh? And yes I believe you." He answered still looking at the clouds. I expected him o laugh out loud or to get grossed out with my story.
"why"
now, this time he looked straight in my eyes and said. “Because as you promised, you’ve found me."

"riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing!!!!!!!!!" I sighed as people started going out of the classroom. Ever since my arrival on this earth, once again I learned that I have a frail body. It seems like it's one of the consequences, to make it easy for me to die but I wouldn't blame god for that for all I wish is for the opportunity to be with Ko-chan and every consequences, I am ready to accept.
I stood up recklessly tripping the school bully on the process. The tall brunette looked at me ready to punch at any second. It’s a wrong move to irritate Takaki Yuya. I closed my eyes waiting for the painful punch but nothing came. I opened my eyes and saw Ko-chan holding Takaki's fist and soon their glaring session turned out to be a punching one. I helplessly begged them to stop but they didn’t listen to me, that's when our class adviser came in requesting to seek the presence of their parents. Ko-chan bowed in apology as he made his way to me asking me if I'm alright. I saw fear in his eyes and I remembered that his mother hates him so much and his father died when he's young.
"Ko-chan,is it ok to call your mom?" He just shrugged it of and made his way to the door.
"Ko-chan I'm really sorry!" He looked back at me and smiled.
"That's nothing. You told me that you protected me last life right? Now it's my turn to protect you."

I saw Mrs. Yabu left the room followed by Ko-chan. his mom looked at him angrily and said.
"Now, you've done it I hate you more now! You just remind me of how careless you father is! I told you to live as quietly as you could but why do you do things like this?" His mom stormed of angrily with a tearful Ko-chan following her, I followed them and saw Mrs. Yabu cross the road. Ko-chan was desperate to stop his mother from leaving and crossed the road without looking for incoming cars. I ran as fast as I could and pushed him out of danger. I saw him surprised by my action but safe either way. I smiled and everything turned black.

I can hear muffled sounds beside me as I opened m eyes to a bright room, I saw Ko-chan beside me and I called weakly for him.
"Ko-chan." When he realized that I'm already awake, he stood up to call the doctor but I held his arms and told him no.
"Y-you! you saved me again! I told you that I'd protect you this time didn't I?" He shouted at me, his eyes full of mixed emotions, anger, regret, concern and love.
"of course that's my mission. To search for you, to love you and to protect you. better luck next time in trying to be my hero." I chuckled weakly.
"I will! I promise!"I can feel my life slipping off away I used my last strength to pull him closer to me as I whispered the same last words I gave him before.
"Don't worry; we'll meet again Ko-chan. It's just that you wouldn't remember me but I'd be there for you either way. I'll always love you Ko-chan." with that I slowly closed my eyes and heard him say..
"Goodbye."

"Ko-chan,is it ok to call your mom?" He just shrugged it of and made his way to the door.
"Ko-chan I'm really sorry!" He looked back at me and smiled.
"That's nothing. You told me that you protected me last life right? Now it's my turn to protect you."

I saw Mrs. Yabu left the room followed by Ko-chan. his mom looked at him angrily and said.
"Now, you've done it I hate you more now! You just remind me of how careless you father is! I told you to live as quietly as you could but why do you do things like this?" His mom stormed of angrily with a tearful Ko-chan following her, I followed them and saw Mrs. Yabu cross the road. Ko-chan was desperate to stop his mother from leaving and crossed the road without looking for incoming cars. I ran as fast as I could and pushed him out of danger. I saw him surprised by my action but safe either way. I smiled and everything turned black.

I can hear muffled sounds beside me as I opened m eyes to a bright room, I saw Ko-chan beside me and I called weakly for him.
"Ko-chan." When he realized that I'm already awake, he stood up to call the doctor but I held his arms and told him no.
"Y-you! you saved me again! I told you that I'd protect you this time didn't I?" He shouted at me, his eyes full of mixed emotions, anger, regret, concern and love.
"of course that's my mission. To search for you, to love you and to protect you. better luck next time in trying to be my hero." I chuckled weakly.
"I will! I promise!"I can feel my life slipping off away I used my last strength to pull him closer to me as I whispered the same last words I gave him before.
"Don't worry; we'll meet again Ko-chan. It's just that you wouldn't remember me but I'd be there for you either way. I'll always love you Ko-chan." with that I slowly closed my eyes and heard him say..
