YabuHika Chaptered Fic: On The Pretense~Chapter 3
I love this series, oh yes, I love it. It's just that nobody reads it>.< I don't know if it's not good enough or because it's YabuHika again>.< I'm hoping it's because of the first one because I don't want anybody hating YabuHuka >.<
So just to progress this story a bit XD
Chapter One
Chapter Two
'No one knows about tomorrow, but let's believe in the future.
I vowed to the sky that I wouldn't give up on dreaming.'
"Daiki get a hold of yourself, Yabu might see you!" Takaki reprimanded his friend, though he doesn't want to pressure his already sufffering friend, they couldn't afford to just let everything slip off. This, after all is about Hikaru's last wish.
"Go-gomen, it's not about Inoo, it's just that I couldn't imagine spending the rest of our lives without Hikaru. I don't think I want that, but how much more would Yabu feel if he knew this?" Daiki looked up, his tears never ceased flowing. Takaki understood that among them, he was the one with less burden but he's still hurting. How much more the others who have sacrificed one thing or another for Hikaru? Takaki bent down and hugged the young trembling man on the couch.
"I'm sure Hikaru would be happy in heaven when the time comes. All we need to do is to stay strong for him and to keep Yabu from trying to kill himself even if it means we have to deceive him for the rest of our lives. This is the last thing we could do for him. I'm here with you now, you're not alone, I'm sure Inoo would return to you." Takaki felt a little pang of pain when he said the last part but he thought it made Daiki relaxed a bit so it's worth the pain. What he said seems like the most mature thing he had ever said but being naturally strong willed, he needs to be optimistic for Daiki. Daiki soon calmed down and when they stood up to go and check Yabu, they saw the said man standing on the door way with tears streaming down his face.
"Explain what you've just said about Hikaru dying and you deceiving me." Yabu may look unnaturally calm at first look but if one would look closer you can see that his whole body is trembling and based on his voice you can guess that he is at his point of facing something that even he knew that he can never turn back. The duo sighed, they failed in keeping their best friends secret but inside, they were somewhat happy that their other friend would be given a chance to be enlightened with the truth. 'No matter how much it would hurt, he would still be able to move on.' Takaki thought. Being the closest to Yabu, he knew what others didn't know, what Hikaru opted to overlook. Yabu may be extremely kind and needy at times, but he's a man who can stand on his feet and deal with his own problems.
"Hikaru left you not because he doens't love you anymore or anything like that. He has an incurable disease that would slowly degenerate every cells in his body and he thoguht that you wouldn't be able to take it seeing him die slowly in your arms, more likely, in my opinion it is he who wouldn't be able to take it. Keeping it from you was his last request, none of us knew if it was for the best but it was his wish so we abided to it." Takaki explained standing between two crying men. The atmosphere was so heavy and Yabu wouldn't even say a word that soon he grew restless.
"What are you going to do now, Yabu?" He asked. Yabu finally looked up with the mention of his name. He looked so lost and pained that Takaki almost wanted to take his words earlier.
"How long will he live?" Yabu asked softly.
"When they left, Kei told me that Hika-chan has 6 months left. Daki answered.
"6 months...He left me 6 months ago!" Yabu snapped and walked out of the room. The two people left in the room do not know what to do, but one thing is for sure, they will not stand there doing nothing now that yabu already knew everything. They went out and followed their friend.
There's meaning in all things so let's believe in ourselves."
